Brian Cox, President and CEO

Prior to starting MFX, Brian ran the Europe hop over to this web-site and Eurasia Division at the U.S. Treasury Department and oversaw a $70 million fund supporting bank-based microfinance in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. He also served as Executive Vice President of the US-Russia Business Council, as a consultant to microfinance investors, and as an analyst in a venture capital firm. As an entrepreneur, he started a company building houses in Eastern Europe and Africa. Brian has a BA and MBA both from Stanford University. Brian is fluent in French with basic Spanish and Russian.


Jorge Santisteban, Director of Hedging Services

Jorge joined MFX in November 2008 to manage the front office and client services functions. Jorge has 15 years experience trading currency derivatives and working with small business clients on their currency risk management needs. He began his career at Banco Nacional de Mexico and built the derivatives department at Bank Mifel which focused on small and medium sized clients. More recently his been a manager at American Express Bank and Citi Private Bank in their currency derivative operations. Jorge graduated from Universidad Panamericana. He speaks fluent Spanish and English.


Anmol Chandan, Director of Finance and Operations

Anmol joined MFX in July 2009 to manage finance, treasury, and back office functions.  Anmol has over 15 years experience in finance, accounting and treasury operations and is a Chartered Accountant (England). He has spent his early career as a manager with Deloitte & Touche in Botswana and then held financial management positions at BC Hydro (Canada), Lafarge North America and Fannie Mae. Anmol has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Economics from the University of Bombay and speaks fluent English and Hindi.


Luz Leyva, Economist / Hedging Services

Luz joined MFX in March 2013. She holds a BA in Economics from ITESM –Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey – and a MPA with a concentration on Economic Policy and Management from Columbia University. She started her career in 2007 working at Banco Nacional de Mexico (BANAMEX/Citigroup) in the Treasury sales department in Monterrey supporting derivative transactions for corporate and medium-size segments. Her experience includes trading of FX, interest rate, and commodity derivatives. After graduating from Columbia University, she worked at the International Labour Organization and the International Finance Corporation.


Pawel Ruchlicki, Trader

Pawel joined MFX in August 2016. He attained his base foundation in Economics during his studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. He has acquired over 10 years of experience as a financial professional achieving confident and profitable results in FX Trading, Risk Management and OTC Derivatives. During his prior work experience with mBank, member of Commerzbank Group, he held various advanced level positions including Corporate Dealer, Derivatives Specialist and Commodities Specialist. He served as a G10 Currency Trader and Head FX Trader with currency funds based in Warsaw, Poland. Pawel is fluent in both English and Polish.


Patricia Cadilla, Manager of Operations

Patricia joined MFX in January 2013 as a Back Office Analyst. Prior to MFX, Patricia worked as a Financial Assistant in the Fund of Funds/Investment Management industry at Thomas H. Lee Capital.  She also has experience in Strategic Planning & Development for a non-profit healthcare organization and LATAM Corporate Wholesale Trade for a luxury retailer. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and her MBA from IAE Business School in Argentina.


Jessica Loren, Manager of Accounting

Jessica joined MFX in July 2016 as Manager of Accounting.  Prior to MFX, Jessica worked as a Fund Accountant at The Carlyle Group in the U.S. and Latin America Real Estate Partnership Accounting group.  She started her career in public accounting working for RSM US LLP (formerly known as McGladrey LLP) as an Audit Associate in 2012.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, both received from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Jessica is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia.


                                          Kevin FryattDirector of RIM

Kevin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge within the African microfinance industry. He spent the past 9 years working within Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to MFX, he served as a Microfinance Technical Advisor for World Relief overseeing the Microfinance Network globally. He structured and led advisory engagements while sitting on the Board of Directors of post-conflict MFIs in Burundi, DRC, Liberia, and Kosovo. Kevin has an MA in International Development with concentration in Microfinance from Eastern University, specialized Asset/Liability Management training from the IFF in London, UK, and a BBA with concentration in Accounting and focus in Economics from the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada. Kevin is based in Washington, DC and leads MFX’s advisory services work.
